The Dunford Birdscarer Kite is a shape that appears threatening to birds. The kite will fly from 4 to 20 knots providing continuous low-cost protection for long periods in all seasons. Pigeons simply avoid feeding in the area.
Flying at dawn, the Dunford birdscarer directs birds to other fields as they leave their roosts.
The kitepole enables the Mk IV kite to relaunch itself after a period of calm maximising the birdscarer's up-time.
This sturdy, 12m high pole is easy to assemble and will withstand strong winds. In still air it holds the kite above the ground and re-launches it when the wind returns. Use with the smaller MkIV kite ref. 0973.
